6 Best General Contractor Firms in Dubai (2026)

Ranked by real Google ratings and review volume · How we chose

We compared 20 general contractor firms in Dubai on Google Maps · 6 listed · How we rank

A villa build or a major renovation in Dubai lives or dies on the general contractor firm you pick, not the design. Permits, procurement, and site coordination separate a project delivered on schedule from one that drags for a year. Ratings on this list range from 4.3 to a perfect 5.0, a full seven-tenths of a star apart, and review counts swing just as widely, so it pays to check both before you sign anything.

Short answer: As of July 2026, SAM Building Contracting leads on volume with a 4.3 rating from 274 reviews, the largest and longest track record on this list. Shine Square Building Contracting rates 4.9 from more than 75 reviews, and PPK Contracting sits at a perfect 5.0 from more than 60 reviews. Capital Associated Building Contracting LLC takes on renovation, build-out, and general contracting projects, and is known for clear communication with clients. Get at least two fixed-price quotes before committing to any contractor.

Our take: This ranks first mainly on scale and proven history, not the highest score on the page. If you want a firm that's handled genuinely large projects before, the volume here speaks for itself, but read a few of the lower reviews before committing.

Our take: The scale and landmark-project history here is real, but this is a firm sized for major commercial work rather than a single villa. Ask directly about payment terms if you're bidding as a subcontractor.

How we scored this list

Rating is the live Google average for each firm. Volume measures how many clients actually left a review, benchmarked against the wider pool of Dubai contractors. Confidence combines both so a perfect score built on a handful of reviews doesn’t outrank a strong score backed by hundreds. Recency checks whether people are still reviewing the firm today. No contractor can pay to change these numbers.

What general contracting costs in Dubai (2026)

Contracting costs in Dubai vary enormously by project type and scale, from a villa renovation to a commercial fit-out to a ground-up build, and by how much of the procurement and design work is bundled into the contract. None of the firms above publish flat rates, and a reliable third-party cost benchmark specific to Dubai general contracting wasn’t available at time of writing. Always get a detailed, itemized quote from at least two firms before signing.

Serving all of Dubai

These firms are based around Business Bay, Oud Metha, Al Karama, and Ras Al Khor, and most work projects citywide, from villa builds in Jumeirah and Dubai Hills to commercial fit-outs downtown. Several take on both residential and commercial work for anyone searching for a general contractor near me.

What to ask before you hire a general contractor

  • Can you provide a fixed-price itemized quote, not just an estimate?
  • What’s your realistic timeline, including permit processing?
  • Who handles procurement, and does that affect material costs?
  • Can I see photos or visit a site of a recently completed project?
  • What warranty or defect-liability period comes with the work?
  • How do you handle payment milestones, and what happens if the schedule slips?

Frequently asked questions

Should I hire a big firm or a smaller contractor?

Larger firms tend to have deeper resources for commercial-scale or landmark projects, while smaller contractors can offer closer attention on a single home build. It depends on the size and complexity of your project.

Do general contractors in Dubai need a license?

Yes, contractors operating in Dubai need a trade license, and most legitimate firms will provide this on request. Always verify before signing a contract.

The bottom line

SAM Building Contracting has the deepest track record on this list and is a safe default for larger or more complex projects. For a single home build where the highest possible rating matters most, Shine Square Building Contracting and PPK Contracting are both worth a call before you decide.
