Watch: 6 Best Plumbers in Seattle (2026)

How we score

Rating is the live average from Google. Review volume measures how many customers actually left a review, ranked against every plumber we pulled for this city. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, since a perfect score from 1,200 reviews and 4.5 from 3,300 mean different things. Recency checks how recently people are still reviewing. No plumber can pay to change any of these numbers.

How much does a plumber cost in Seattle? (2026)

Plumbing costs in Seattle vary by job type and urgency, with after-hours emergency calls typically priced higher than a scheduled daytime appointment. A simple repair like a leak fix costs less than a full water heater replacement or sewer relining job, and older Seattle homes sometimes uncover additional issues once a technician opens up a wall or crawlspace. Get a not-to-exceed estimate in writing before any emergency visit, and ask directly whether the quote is a flat rate or hourly, since several reviewers across these companies specifically praised firms that stuck to their original number.

Serving greater Seattle

These companies are based across Seattle, from Ballard to West Seattle to the Rainier Valley, and most serve the wider King County area, including Bellevue, Renton, and Shoreline. If you’re searching for a plumber near me during an emergency, several of the companies above offer true 24/7 dispatch with no trip charge.

What to ask before you hire a plumber

Is this a flat-rate or not-to-exceed quote, and does it change once you’re on site?
Is there a trip charge or dispatch fee for an emergency call?
Are you licensed and insured in Washington state?
What’s your warranty on parts and labor?
Can you show me the problem, like with a sewer camera, before recommending a fix?
How soon can someone actually get here for an emergency?

Frequently asked questions

Why do emergency plumbing calls cost more?

After-hours dispatch, faster response times, and disrupting a technician’s regular schedule all add cost. Some companies avoid a separate trip charge, so it’s worth asking directly.

Should I get a sewer camera inspection before a big repair?

Yes, when it’s available. A camera inspection shows the actual condition of the pipe rather than guessing, which helps you avoid paying for a bigger fix than you actually need.

The bottom line

For the deepest, most tested track record, 2 Sons Plumbing is a safe default with true 24/7 multi-trade coverage. If your issue is specifically a sewer or drain problem, Bob Oates Sewer & Rooter’s decades of specialization make it worth the call. Either way, get a not-to-exceed quote before anyone starts work.
