Ranked by real Google ratings and review volume · How we chose

We compared 18 window cleaners in London on Google Maps · 5 listed · How we rank

London's period flats and old sash windows are notorious for defeating window cleaners, especially the ones stuck a decade without a proper clean by the time a new tenant moves in. These window cleaners have logged 757 Google reviews between them, four sit at 4.9 or higher, and the real difference is which one takes on the awkward-access jobs the others turn down.

Short answer: The London Window Cleaning Company leads with a 4.9 rating from 177 reviews, the deepest track record here, and equipment that reaches 65 feet without ladders. Shine Bright Cleaning and JB Window Cleaning Services both hold perfect 5.0 scores. Pricing is set per quote based on window count and access, so no fixed rate applies across the board.

How we score

Rating is each company’s live Google average. Review volume measures how many customers have actually rated the business, weighed against others in the same city. Confidence blends the two, so a perfect score built on fewer reviews counts for less than a strong score backed by hundreds. Recency checks how recently people are still leaving reviews. No business can pay to change these numbers.

How much do window cleaners cost in London? (2026)

Price depends on window count, access difficulty, and whether it’s a one-off clean or a regular schedule. None of the companies on this page publish a fixed rate, since access and window type vary so much between flats and houses.

Serving all of London

These cleaners cover Fulham, Notting Hill, Clapton, Covent Garden, and the City between them, spanning East, North, West, and Central London. If you’re searching for a window cleaner near me, all five companies here serve most of Greater London, though it’s worth confirming your specific postcode when booking.

What to ask before you book a window cleaner

  • Can you reach my windows safely without ladders, especially above ground floor?
  • Do you clean interior and exterior, or exterior only?
  • How do you handle old sash windows or secondary glazing that doesn’t open easily?
  • Is there a guarantee if I’m not happy with the result?
  • Do you offer a regular schedule, and is it cheaper than a one-off clean?
  • What’s included, and is gutter or conservatory cleaning an optional extra?

Frequently asked questions

My windows haven’t been cleaned in years, will that be a problem?

Several companies on this page, including The City Window Cleaning Specialists and JB Window Cleaning Services, specifically mention taking on windows that hadn’t been cleaned properly in years or even decades.

Can I get a window cleaner on short notice in London?

Yes, several of these companies, including West Clean and The City Window Cleaning Specialists, are reviewed specifically for fitting in urgent or same-day requests.

The bottom line

The London Window Cleaning Company is the safe default given its scale and equipment for taller properties, but if your windows are the awkward, hard-to-reach kind, Shine Bright Cleaning or The City Window Cleaning Specialists are both worth calling first. Get a quote before booking, since none of these companies fix a flat rate.
