How the scores work

Rating is the live Google star average. Review volume is how many customers have rated each business, compared with the others on the page. Confidence weighs the rating by that volume, so a 4.8 from hundreds of people counts for more than a 5.0 from a few dozen. Recency reflects how recently customers still leave reviews.

What shapes a chimney bill in Buffalo

No prices are published here. A sweep or inspection is a different job from a liner, a crown repair or a full rebuild, and the scope, how high the chimney stands and whether roofing or flashing work is involved all move the bill. Ask each company for a written estimate that names exactly what it covers.

Where these chimney companies work

The companies here are based in Cheektowaga, Amherst and Buffalo itself, and Friendly Chimney lists a phone number rather than a street address. Four Winds and Felgemacher also serve Rochester, according to their sites. Looking for a chimney sweep near me? Each listing shows a phone number so you can ask about your address before you book.

Questions to ask a chimney company before booking

  • Is this visit a cleaning, an inspection or a repair, and what does the price include?
  • Can you put the estimate in writing, and can the final price change once work starts?
  • Are your technicians CSIA certified?
  • Who handles flashing or roof work if the repair touches the roof?
  • What warranty comes with a repair or rebuild?
